Physical Therapists

Jason Overholser, PT

Following graduation from Carson High School, Jason attended the University of Nevada, Reno and then physical therapy school abroad in The Netherlands at the Hogeschool Eindhoven.  As a physical therapist for over 25 years now, he has treated an extensive variety of patients from professional athletes to weekend warriors. He has worked in many settings, but his main focus and passion has always been outpatient orthopedics. In 2010 he returned to Carson City where his wife and he started OPTIMUM Physical Therapy. Jason looks forward to the many years ahead providing professional and personal physical therapy to the people of northern Nevada.

Megan Murphy, PT, DPT, MTC, MA, ATC

Megan Murphy graduated from the University of St. Augustine in 2013 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been working in the Reno/Carson City area in both the in-patient setting and outpatient setting for the last 10 years. Megan Murphy has been married for 8 years to her husband, Jeremy. In Megan’s spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, Giants baseball, and scrapbooking. Megan also has two adorable kitties, Madison and J.T., who she is obsessed with.

Jacqueline Dagostino, PT, DPT, OCS, CERT. VRS

Jacquie grew up in Bend, OR and graduated with her Bachelors in Science from University of Oregon in 2012. She obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018 from West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2021. She is passionate about helping patients improve the way they move and feel through individualized exercise programs and manual therapy. Jacquie is also a Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist with advance training in treating vertigo, BPPV, concussions, balance deficits, and other vestibular  dysfunctions. She has taken additional coursework in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and is pursuing a certification in Pelvic Health. Jacquie is new to Carson City and excited for all the area has to offer! In her free time, you’ll find Jacquie snowboarding, hiking, camping, or doing Pilates.

Physical Therapist Assistants

Douglas Brynildsen, PTA, CPT

A New York native, Douglas Brynildsen earned his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from Broward College in Fort Lauderdale Florida. He has been practicing for over 35 years, specializing in manual therapy and has been with Optimum Physical Therapy since we opened our doors in 2010. Doug is well known for his knowledge in rehabilitation of the entire spine. Some conditions he treats are sciatica, leg length discrepancies, flexion or extension lesions, scoliosis, cervicalgia, headaches and sacral torsion. Doug is dedicated to seeing his patients’ quality of life improve, allowing them to return to the activities they are passionate about.

Brooks Wardrip, PTA

Raised in Verdi, Nevada, Brooks moved to Arizona to finish high school and attended PTA school in Phoenix, AZ. Brooks relocated back to Northern Nevada to return to family, and home means Nevada. Brooks met his wife Issamar Carson City, and they have since settled here. Brooks has over ten years of experience as a PTA, working in outpatient orthopedics, aquatics therapy, geriatric and pediatric inpatient facilities. Brooks has a particular fondness for lower extremity joint replacements and balance patients. When Brooks isn’t at work, he enjoys going to the movies, golfing, and occasionally skateboarding with a helmet on.
